New inspiration….

I’ve recently come across the works of artist Christy Langer… here on Tumblr none the less ;)  And am completely in awe of her beautiful works!  She works in mixed media, mainly resin, silicone, fibre glass and oil paint.

Very inspirational!!

TATE MODERN

Last weekend I went to Tate Modern with my no.1 lady Kerry o Berry to view the Yayoi Kusama Exhibition.  Had such a beaut of a day, I absolutely adore her work..such inspiration.  Unfortunately I couldn’t take any pictures, but here’s the link to her website.

Checked out the work of other artists I love too in the galleries collections, such as Louise Bourgeois,  David Shrigley, Do ho suh among others.

Also viewed the awesome works of some artists that I’d not heard of too.  One of my favourites being this light sculpture by portuguese artist Pedro Cabrita Reis.

Check out more of my pictures of artists’ work here.  (excuse some of the poor images)

Head & Brush I & II

I’d been ultra productive last week..managed to complete the main detailing and finish hollowing out both sculptures.  This week finished off by putting the hole placements in the back for fixing.  They’re being left to slowly dry.
